Compiled Times

The compiled 2013 data (race time and relative time) have been uploaded to Google docs. Relative time is your time relative to the fastest time of the race (the ratio Time/Fastest_Time). So if your relative time is, say, 1.19 then you skied 19% slower than the fastest skier that day. This means that your relative time is dependent on how someone else skied that day. The girls Sassi relative times are somewhat inflated because that race included a really, really fast girl (Sadie James) relative to our WMC races. The final columns are your median skate relative time, median classic relative time and your overall relative time (the average of the two medians).
As we mentioned at the beginning of the season, State Team selection is based not only on your race times, but on dedication to the team. That includes attendance, communication and hard work at practice. Its always a difficult decision for us to make, especially this year because we have such a great team. We encourage all of you to keep skiing and to join us at Black Mtn next week to cheer on your teammates.
