Lots happening this week:
Wednesday and Friday: morning strength training, 7am.
Tuesday: We need to start practice promptly at 2:45 in
order to finish by 4:30. After practice, go home, shower, eat, return to
school at 6:30 for a wax clinic. We’d like all skiers to attend.
Parents are invited and encouraged to join us. Even if you know how
to wax, please attend. This will last no more than an hour.
Thursday: Uniforms will be handed out. Glide wax for Saturday will be
handed out, too. If you need a place to wax, please contact me.
Saturday: The bus to Sugarloaf leaves at 7:00am, please be at the
school by 6:45. The boys will race at 11:00, girls at
12:30. Its a skate race, length to be determined, no more than 5k.
This is a pre-season race, skiers should not feel a lot of pressure.
It will be a good indicator of where you are in terms of fitness,
technique, etc. It will help us to tailor workouts for you.
We will ski in the afternoon as well. We will head home at
approximately 4:30.
-Be sure to bring lots of food and water. Bring a
lunch, lots of snacks, water bottles and perhaps some cash to buy food and
drink if you choose.
-Bring a change of clothes for skiing in the afternoon
-bring a change of clothes for the ride home.
-bring a phone if you have one, a watch if not.
