A beautiful day to live and ski in Maine!

Hey Team,

I hope you all had a great time on the trails.  I thought it was great!  I think some of you were skiing a bit faster than you should have been.  I understand that you are just happy to be out on the trails and its hard to go slow but, skiing at level one has a purpose.  It needs to be a part of your training.

In fact, this week in general,  everything should be at a lower level.  Next week will be slightly more intense and the following week, even more intense.  But, this week you need to recover a bit.  We will still be working but we are in recovery mode.  Don't over do it.

Also, I didn't see many water bottles out there.  You need to be hydrated to train well and to perform well.  Please bring water and a healthy snack with you to each practice.

Tomorrow:  Skate intervals at the high school.
Wednesday: On-snow strength and technique drills (probably at the HS)
Thursday:   Morning: strength.  Afternoon: threshold level distance at Pineland
Friday:    Game day (probably at the HS)

For the weekends:
One day should be an over distance day and the other needs to be a rest day.  Often, we will go out on the trails as a team over the weekend.  Other times, the captains may lead groups.

Get some sleep!!!
