We need to stay fit and continue to focus on ski specific strength. to accomplish this, you need running shoes tomorrow. Also, be flexible. This could change!
W - High School. Bring running shoes outside and set beside field. We will ski for 30 minutes and then run 30-40 minutes. Pretend you are a triathlete and transition into running shoes quickly. Then get running.
ski: 15 minutes single stick + 15 double pole level 1, throw in a 20s double-pole sprint (pick-up) every 5 minutes, even during the single sticking
run: 30-40 minutes with 20 minutes at an easy level 3 pace. Don't let this creep up to race pace. You must run on the road - the loop around Woodville is good for 40 minutes. The Cardillo-Extended Cardillo for 30 minutes.
Th - make sure to have kick. We will likely ski around the fields behind the middle school - they are holding lots of snow. This needs to be a nice continuous ski without stopping. Small groups will transition over to the hills for specific strength (single stick and double pole)
F - level one striding and double poling with pickups. We will wax our skis after practice in our new wax space in the middle school.
