Dropbox mix instructions. These are written by Tim so if they confuse you contact him. Let's try and have em up wednesday night!

Instructions for sharing mixes via Dropbox:

TOOLS:
If you do not have a zip utility, you will need one. Most computers already have these (winzip, winrar, etc.)
You also need to download dropbox. Both are useful tools that I use regularly for all sorts of things- they
occupy minimal resources and are worthwhile things to have regardless of the mix swap.

PC: I like jzip, its powerful and simple.

MAC: If you're lame and rock the macboxz, here's an alternative that looks decent. I haven't tried it.

DROPBOX:

1. Install all software
2. create a new folder, copy all desired files to it
3. Edit the metadata of the copies (This step looks complicated but it is essential to maintaining the artistic integrity of the mix as it is transported between libraries)
a. select all files, right click on them and go to properties
b. rename the album to "'s Mix."
c. copy them back into your itunes or whatever program youre using. The new album name will differentiate them from the original files.
d. In your program, edit properties ("get info" in itunes) to set your desired track numbers, add album art, etc. (As long as you are working on COPIES of the files, this will not interfere with your original files/library)
e. the new metadata should be present in the folder as well. Just for good measure, add a .txt file to the folder with the names of the songs and artists in order
4. Zip the contents of the folder using your zip utility.
5. open dropbox, drag the .zip file to the "public folder
6. wait for it to upload, then right click on the file and select "copy public link." Paste it into an e-mail and send it tochebson@gmail.com or on Catherine's wall.

She can then post a list of the links. Click them to download the mixes. Unzip, import into your music library, and you're done!
They should all be nicely in order, but in case someone failed with the metadata, you can reference the txt file to set things straight.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me via facebook or follo.tim@gmail.com or in person.
This is really the easiest and most efficient way (past years with DVDs hasn't really been so great) plus you learn valuable basic computer skillz!
If for whatever reason this does not work, you can still make CD's and I will do this process for you, but i'd really rather not.

So thorough! I'm going to mess it up by step 3 but I love the detail!!!
