For everyone:
  1. Apply a layer of Skigo XC or LF Graphite as a first layer. This will provide a durable base. Scrape and brush well.
For men:
  • If you are not going to use a HF wax, then apply SkiGo LF Blue or Swix LF6. Scrape and brush well. If you are using HF wax skip this step.
  • For an HF Layer use SkiGo HF Blue, Swix HF6, or Holmenkol Matrix Blue. Scrape and Brush.
For women:
  • If you are not going to use a HF wax, then apply SkiGo LF Blue or Swix LF6. Scrape and brush well. If you are using HF wax skip this step.
  • Apply a layer of SkiGo HF Blue, Holmenkol Matrix Red or Swix HF7 , scrape and brush well.
For everyone:
  • Apply a topcoat of Skigo C22 solid. Handcork, as ironing is not necessary at these distances. Brush with a white or blue nylon brush.
Kick:
  1. SkiGo HF Violet and Rode Super Extra Blue will be two good choices. BNS will be on site testing kick wax, so check in with us at the event site and see our recommendation.

Notes: Obviously not everyone will go to these wax extremes, but I wanted to have everyone covered in case they were going all the way to pure fluoro’s. Stop by the shop or give a call 541-7438 for the latest wax recommendation.   Thank you and best of luck to you and your athletes this weekend.
