Dear Yarmouth Skiers

We sincerely apologize for failing to recognize that the video that was created to motivate our skiers with a little humor would be seen as insulting to Coach Morse, the Yarmouth Program, and the Yarmouth Skiers. This reaction was far, far from our intent; we have nothing but the utmost respect for Coach Morse, the Yarmouth Program, and the Yarmouth skiers. We have no tolerance for petty competitiveness, rivalry baiting, or trash-talking and are embarrassed that at least some of you saw our video in this light. Instead we encourage friendly competition and mutual respect for each other's skills and accomplishments. The beauty of the nordic community is that we are competitors one week (at WMC races) and teammates the next (EHSCs). Good luck with your between season training. Work hard. Have fun. Come over and say Hi to James and me during the season. We'd be thrilled to meet any of you.

Cheers,

Jeff Walker
Co-coach, Falmouth Ski Team

I woke up to this apology and was stunned. I also apologize to every Yarmouth skier and to Coach Morse. I have always looked up to Bob and the Yarmouth team because they (you, if you're reading this) are not only amazing skiers but kind, respectful and unified. I never meant to insult any of the Yarmouth ski team. In fact I sent this to Coach Morse yesterday because I thought he might find my impression of him amusing. He has always been a hero to me and The Yarmouth team is so good I thought they would find it funny too. I was wrong. If anyone reading this would like to talk to me please call 329-2894 anytime.
Sincerely, James Demer
