Don't put away those skis too fast! Games day on Monday, followed by Wednesday's Adventure Relay are sure to be a blast. I hope EVERYONE comes. The relay is an annual silly race focused more on fun than actually skiing fast. We typically come up with a team costume theme and make them together on Tuesday. Then we can rock the slopes. Here's an example of costumes from two years ago. Our theme was "nautical." Start thinking of ideas... we'll discuss Monday.
In addition, we have some more work to do. Here's the official assignment from the race hosts:
For all of those who will be attending the Adventure Relay at Starks Hill on February 25th, we would like every racer to choose a "valentine" on another team and write them a poem or a song, etc. We are modeling this after "Carnival Crush" where the college skiers choose a "crush" to give a valentine at one of their carnivals. Whole teams can give a valentine to another whole team, for example the Freeport Boys might present the Greely girls with a love song. Please be considerate of people's feelings and try to choose wisely because you yourself has to present your valentine to your "crush."
