Don't run off fumes

Chances are, you wouldn't start an Indy car race with only 1/8 a tank of gas. You'd be in the pits for more fuel before you knew it, while the competition sped away.

Make sure you eat enough during the day. You are all growing, and skiing is an energy intensive sport. So try to eat a variety of different foods, the more natural and unprocessed the better. Bagels and cereal alone won't get you over the finish line day after day. Fat and protein are important players that will keep you rolling longer. Moreover, when you pick your fruits and veggies, the more you can mix and match different colors, the better. Putting 'premium fuel' in your tanks doesn't need to be expensive, but it may take a little bit of thought and effort on your part. The reward will be more consistent performances and better health in the long run.
